MULTI-CHOICE SALVATION

The Church is pandering to the unsaved more and more in an attempt to ‘normalize’ Christianity, the idea being that if people want to become Christians it won’t be a big culture shock for them. They can almost carry on as normal as long as they come to Church at least once a week.

Unfortunately this flies in the face of all scripture, which warns us that the Christian will be hated by the world, because in the Christian they will see Christ and so their own Sins.
John 51:19

19 The world would love you if you belonged to it, but you don’t. I chose you to come out of the world, and so it hates you.
20 Do you remember what I told you? ‘A servant is not greater than the master.’ Since they persecuted me, naturally they will persecute you. And if they had listened to me, they would listen to you!
21 The people of the world will hate you because you belong to me, for they don’t know God who sent me.

Salvation isn’t something which can be bought or earned, it isn’t a bonus or deal done between you and God or a particular Church you want to attend. You don’t attend one Church over another because the cost was cheaper at one Church over another. Salvation is a precious gift given to you by God, not a ‘deal of the week’.

Ephesians 2:1-10 clearly shows us we were have moved from a state of death to life, from the way the world lives to a DIFFERENT way, God’s way. More than that it tells us that it wasn’t by our own efforts, we did nothing and God did everything.

1 Once you were dead, doomed forever because of your many sins. 2 You used to live just like the rest of the world, full of sin, obeying Satan, the mighty prince of the power of the air. He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God.
3 All of us used to live that way, following the passions and desires of our evil nature. We were born with an evil nature, and we were under God’s anger just like everyone else.
4 But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so very much, 5 that even while we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s special favor that you have been saved!)
6 For he raised us from the dead along with Christ, and we are seated with him in the heavenly realms—all because we are one with Christ Jesus.
7 And so God can always point to us as examples of the incredible wealth of his favor and kindness toward us, as shown in all he has done for us through Christ Jesus.
8 God saved you by his special favor when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God.
9 Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.
10 For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so that we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

If a Church tries to tell you, YOU can earn or get Salvation by ‘religious acts’, they are wrong, all you can do is accept the free gift by believing. John 14:6 and Romans 11:6 tells us simply and in its purest form how we can be Saved.

6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, except through me.

6 And if they are saved by God’s kindness, then it is not by their good works. For in that case, God’s wonderful kindness would not be what it really is—free and undeserved.

And in Romans 10:8-10 this simple message of Salvation is reiterated.

8 Salvation that comes from trusting Christ—which is the message we preach—is already within easy reach. In fact, the Scriptures say, “The message is close at hand; it is on your lips and in your heart.”
9 For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
10 For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved.

So what if you don’t accept, well some Churches will say as long as you are good you will be OK, God is after all a God of Love and would never see you suffer just because you didn’t say yes in a meeting. They start to add grey areas where it should be black or white.

God is Light and Satan is Darkness, there are no grey areas in between, you either choose God or reject Him. Matthew 12:30

30 Anyone who isn’t helping me opposes me, and anyone who isn’t working with me is actually working against me.

Yes, it’s that simple, there are only 2 sides and by rejecting one you automatically fall into other camp. You can make all the excuses you like, ‘Yes but I do good deeds’, so does Satan, ‘I believe in God’, so does Satan, ‘I visit the poor and dying’, trust me , so does Satan.

You can not be a Christian and still be your old self, it does not fit. So when a Church is happy to accept your unacceptable life style, your drunkenness, your swearing and smoking, the inappropriate company you keep then that is a Church without the power of God and without proper leadership. Romans 12:2

2. Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will know what God wants you to do, and you will know how good and pleasing and perfect his will really is.

If you want to be a Christian then you must accept all that God gives and has to offer, you must not conform to this world but allow God to transform you. The message is clear from Mark 16:16

16 Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned.

Don’t let anyone tell you different, no amount of money can save you, Church attendance records or any amount of good will. A Church that doesn’t preach redemption through Christ Jesus is wrong.
