THE FALSE RELIGION OF EVOLUTION

I say Religion and a false one at that because people who believe in it do so with an almost religious fervour. They cling to a theory which has no basis in fact or science. But what about the Bible, neither does that? Well you would be wrong. Scientists are finding that rather than disproving the Bible they are backing it up. The order in which Genesis says things were created is backed up in fossil records. The Bible declared the world was round years before man realised this fact, also that the world was held up by nothing, when many thought the world was held on the back of turtles or elephants, the list goes on.

I am intending to cover the basics of why the theory of evolution is a non-starter, there are plenty of web sites which cover evolution in detail, a list of which can be found on this site.

THE BIG BANG

Both creationists and evolutionists believe the universe time and everything is finite, that is to say it has a beginning, something which we know from the Bible (Gen 1:1, 2Tim 1:9). Unfortunately evolutionists do not like to talk about the beginning because it brings up too many unanswered questions. They start with the 'big bang', a singularity which happened for 'some reason' at 'some point in time'. From it all things evolved.

The problem with the big bang is that it flies in the face of all things scientific and against the laws of nature which scientists are often quoting to counter creation. There are NO examples in nature, science, where ever of an explosion creating an increase in order.

ALL known explosions decrease order and structure and increase chaos. That is to say with explosions we see 'spontaneous de-generation not spontaneous generation'.

The big bang also contradicts the 2nd law of Thermodynamics, known as Entropy. This law states;
'As time advances the universe becomes less ordered'

This is explained in Psalms 102:25,26;

25 Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of thy hands.
26 They shall perish, but thou shalt endure: yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed:

All systems left on their own will go from order to disorder, we see this every day. Cars rust, people grow old. From the beginning of the universe it has been winding down not evolving into anything new. Many scientists have declared that the universe is like a clock wound up when it was formed and is now winding down. In all the universe and life can be seen this winding down, this de-generation.

ANTHROPIC PRINCIPLE

Scientists have found that when they look at the earth and its position and relationship to the universe and man there are 1000's of ratios and parameters that if adjusted even by a fraction, then life would not exist. Mankind lives on a very frail yet marvellous knife edge, either way we could disappear.

For example, if the earth was 5% closer to the sun the oceans would boil, if 1% further away they would freeze. Surface gravity is such that if it was any more there would be too much atmospheric pressure, any less and there would be no atmosphere. The thickness of the earths crust, the orbit of the moon and its influence on us. The orbit of the earth around the sun. All these so called accidents contribute to the survival and existence of man before you even start to look at the coincidence of chemicals accidentally coming together forming life. The universe is finely tuned all working together so man can exist, not evolve but exist as we are today. Man may not be the centre of the universe but he is definitely the centre of creation.

CHEMICALS PRODUCING LIFE

Evolution believes in spontaneous generation that is 'chemicals + time = life'

This formula does not work and has never been proven. They say the earth was a primeval soup of methane and other gasses which together sparked life. Geology shows that the earth has always has an oxygen rich atmosphere, there has never been a soup of any description or mixture of gases other than what we see today. This is what the rocks and geologists say, not hopeful Christians.

Evolution based on the assumption that energy and matter can 'occasionally' create new life again flies in the face of all what we know to be true and scientific. In fact the WHOLE of the food industry is based on evolution being wrong.

An example; Take a jar of jam, if evolution was correct and chemicals when exposed to energy can 'occasionally' produce life you would expect some one to someday open a jar of jam and find some form of NEW life. Heat, light and other forms of energy influence jars all over the world, yet we never discover NEW life. This experiment is being carried out billions of times every day all over the world with jars, tins and packets of food, and has been for the last 100 years. The only time we find new life is when it is introduced from an outside contaminate.

The building blocks of life are amino acids. Long chains of specific amino acids in the right position are required to form the protein of life. They can be 2000 to 3000 amino acids in one protein and if ONE is out of place the whole string breaks down. The probability that 100 can get together (as worked out by molecular biologists) is less that 1 in 10 to the power 65. Which has been described as being like, finding the winning American lottery ticket on the road and then the next day finding another winning lottery ticket and doing this every day for 1000 years.

THE DNA PROBLEM

DNA is the code for life which is found in Chromosomes, inside the Nucleus of a cell. The DNA is self replicating, error detecting and error correcting. It contains enormous amounts of data, information about the species it's within. This information can not form out of chance it must be put there. It is like saying the encyclopaedia Britanica, all volumes, just happened by chance. DNA is more complex and contains more information than the Encyclopaedia Britanica, it is also living. Information in the form of DNA can not evolve, it needs to be all there in the beginning to produce what ever animal or organism it is, and as it is self replicating it will produce the same set of instructions the next time.

The probabilities of such a chance meeting of amino acids is so staggering its mind blowing. The numbers involved in producing a probability are virtually incalculable, and this is a big problem for the evolutionist. To quote a passage from an Answers in Genesis article;

'These numbers defy our ability to comprehend their size. Fred Hoyle, British mathematician and astronomer, has used analogies to try to convey the immensity of the problem. For example, Hoyle said the probability of the formation of just one of the many proteins on which life depends is comparable to that of the solar system packed full of blind people randomly shuffling Rubik’s cubes all arriving at the solution at the same time - and this is the chance of getting only one of the 400 or more proteins of the hypothetical minimum cell proposed by the evolutionists (real world ‘simple’ bacteria have about 2,000 proteins and are incredibly complex). As Hoyle points out, the program of the cell, encoded on the DNA, is also needed. In other words, life could not form by natural (random) processes'.

The order in the proteins and DNA of living things is independent of the properties of the chemicals of which they consist.This is to say that by just putting the chemicals together you don't produce life, the information is needed as well as the chemicals in order that life can be built to a specified order. The order in living things parallels that in printed books where the information is not contained in the ink, or even in the letters, but in the complex arrangement of letters which make up words, words which make up sentences, sentences which make up paragraphs, paragraphs which make up chapters and chapters which make up books. These components of written language respectively parallel the nucleic acid bases, codons, genes, operons, chromosomes and genomes which make up the genetic programs of living cells

BIOLOGICAL EVOLUTION AND DNA

Evolutionists say that all species came from one common ancestor but what they can't explain genetically how this happens. In general they say spontaneous genetic mutation (spontaneous DNA change) and survival of the fittest brought about the thousands of different species alive today. Unfortunately there is NO evidence to show that mutation of DNA produces a NEW species, only a variant on the original.

We have around 450 breeds of dog today, both creationists and evolutionists agree that they came from one common ancestor, probably wolf like, but they are still dogs. There is no evolution involved in producing different breeds. Humans are black, white, tall, short all variants on the original, but still HUMAN. This is a rule which extends throughout the whole of the animal kingdom. The variety within a species is already there built in to the DNA code, it just comes out given certain conditions.

Added to this the glaringly obvious absence of any fossil evidence of MISSING LINKS or transitional fossils we must conclude that as the Bible says;

Genesis 1:11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.
Genesis 1:12 And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
Genesis 1:21 And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
Genesis 1:24 And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.
Genesis 1:25 And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
Genesis 6:20 Of fowls after their kind, and of cattle after their kind, of every creeping thing of the earth after his kind, two of every sort shall come unto thee, to keep them alive.
Genesis 7:14 They, and every beast after his kind, and all the cattle after their kind, and every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind, and every fowl after his kind, every bird of every sort.

Today we see no new species appearing but rather more and more dying off, remember what we said earlier;

'All systems left on their own will go from order to disorder.'

There is no evidence of evolution taking place today, not at any stage. If evolution was true then it would be never ending and we would be still evolving now, but we are not.

CONCLUSION

With all the scientific evidence against evolution we must also consider common sense, and logical thinking. What does a newly developed species do to produce an offspring, how does it know to develop reproductive organs and how does it know what to eat. When the first bird flew, how did it know how to, how did the transitional animals survive to develop full flight, surely they would all have died off trying to figure out what wings were for. When the first creature crawled from the sea how long did it take to develop lungs, until it did they would have all died.

It just gets more and more ridiculous, but evolutionists say time was on their side. Unfortunately we now have evidence that the earth is not millions or billions of years old but thousands. The estimate at present is between 6,000 and 10,000 years. This is not Christians trying to get science to fit the Bible but scientists finding evidence that fits the Bible. All over the earth there is evidence for a young earth, but evolutionists are digging their heals in and the media for some reason is backing them.

It's strange to think that there are people listening to a constant barrage of noise from space in the hope that they hear a repetative series of something, which to them would prove that it must have been produced by inteligent life. yet here we have DMA, something more complex and ordered than anything man can produce and we say it happened by chance without even a thought. If a few ordered sounds indicate an intelligent source then surely the incredible amount of information on the DNA in living things, equivalent to a library of a thousand 500 page books in a human being, shouts Creation by a Creator! The more we know about the biochemical workings of living cells, the stronger the evidence becomes for the intimate involvement of a creator.

The BBC is pumping millions into making natural history programmes all with an evolution bias, their excuse is that the theory of evolution is the most widely believed theory explaining the origin of life. By doing this they are not producing factual or unbiased programmes, they are falling for the oldest trick in the books, tell someone a lie enough times and eventually they will believe it.

The Bible contains scientific truths about the origins of life, science is finally proving them to be true, and in the process making many scientists think differently about the way they translate the data. Hopefully we will eventually see the media catch up with science and start telling the truth, God's truth.
