Believing in God doesn't make you 'religious'.
I don’t want to get deep or philosophical about this, all I want is to put over the simple message which has been lost to politicalisation, manipulation and mans attempts fix something which wasn’t broken.
The older you get the more you realise how short life really is, priorities change and unwillingness to listen is replaced by a wish to relive miss-spent days. It’s a sad fact of life that by the time you have enough wisdom and knowledge to live life to the full you are generally too old to live at all. But when you consider people used to live to 900 years then you realise that our world is nothing compared to what it used to be, but that’s another story..
It really all boils down to whether you believe in God or not, and if not then why?
Science has come a long way and is finally realising truths in the Bible. Evolution is being pushed with such ferocity yet has no proof to back any of its claims. People believe because they ‘think’ it is true, they would rather believe in something which doesn’t have any consequences than believe there is a God who judges.
As you look at nature, signs of evolution can’t be found anywhere but a creator can, and that’s not just me saying that, many scientists who believe in evolution say that but still deny His existence. Anyone who ‘seriously’ looks at the evidence and arguments can't agree with evolution as a credible theory at all. Anyone who dismisses God without thought in favour of a theory without thought, is a fool. Just remember it was science that thought the earth was flat, that the sun went round the earth and it was scientists that backed up the idea that coloured people were one step up from the ape. The only thing evolving is the theory of evolution itself.
God created the perfect world and put man in it to run it, but we messed up, we were given free will and used it. Perfection lost, for some time God left us to our own devices although the world wasn’t perfect any more it was a world where people lived to be hundreds of years old and as such knowledge abounded. As time passed man became wicked and angels gave man secrets they shouldn’t have, this led them away from the true God and soon the world was corrupt and evil.
God decided to start again, and chose one good family to carry on mankind. He flooded the earth and wiped clean the wicked and man started again. Science backs up the global catastrophe and over 500 stories, legends and writings throughout the world also back this up.
The story goes on and I don’t want this to be a Biblical history account but why we believe. What I do want to point out is that Creation is founded on a historical belief in God, not a religious or spiritual encounter. Sometimes it takes that to make us understand or see past the lies but actually we are living on an earth and we have forgotten who gave it to us, the problem is that He’s coming back and will want an account of what we’ve been doing.
I also don’t want to get into an argument about why does God allow, this, that and the other, if He was a loving God etc etc. No matter how God ran the place we would moan, we would rebel, it's in our nature and that is what free will is all about. If you look at the history of God’s involvement with man you will see that He has covered all bases anyway and when you stand before him moaning remember this.
1. We had Eden and perfection, we messed up.
2. We had a time of freedom where we were helped by God and the Angels, we messed up.
3. God gave us the Law, the 10 commandments, we didn’t follow them.
4. We now live in a period of Grace where He forgives us without question, we abuse it and do our own thing.
5. Finally Christ will return and rule on earth with ‘a rod of iron’, man will rebel.
Mankind has by the time the end comes been treated in every way possible to show any argument you put forward to try to save your soul had been tested. Not necessarily on you personally but then that’s life and you are in charge of your own. What you do with it is up to you, so don’t blame others for your mistakes.
It all comes down to free will; and the choice you make will decide where you spend eternity. Mankind messed up and we are now in a state of rebellion or Sin. God loves us and so sent His Son to die, to put things right. Through His sacrifice we now have a way back to God. All He asks is we believe and follow His common sence rules about living.
It’s not a nice thought, to have to do as we are told, but we can do it if we take control of our lives and bodies. It takes effort, which these days is something people don’t like to do, but when you eventually stand before God what excuse will you use, I bet you any money He’s heard it before and still won't be impressed.
