PREPARATION TV
TV and Video's are preparing the nations for the end. VIOLENCE Violence is increasing all the time. Censorship has faded over the years allowing the gradual introduction of more violence onto programmes shown early in the evening and into children's programmes. Also the amount of violence in films has increased, and the emphasis has been moved from violence to certain types of violence and sexual content. As a nation we are becoming hardened violent images due to the inclusion in programmes and the constant images of war in news items and documentaries. For an advert to make an impact now its content has to be hard hitting to get to the heart of the modern person. Images have to be graphic, the shock content turned up full. OCCULT Children in particular are being attacked the most with regard to the occult. Through cartoons and general childrens TV, the occult is being sensationalised and given a clean bill of health by the media. Spirits and ghosts are shown as friendly, nothing to be scared of and if anything children are prompted to exlpore the supernatural world. In it they will find answers and excitement. Demons are nothing more than friendly spirits who want to guide you. Powers can be gained from these spirits to make you different from the rest of your friends, to give you an edge. All these appeal to the youngster and whether we want to believe it or not are registered in the minds of our children. Satan can then water the seeds of curiosity and draw unsuspecting youngsters as they grow into the world of supernatural. CARTOONS Cartoons were once very innocent and harmless. They were deemed to be violent in their day and reports of Tom and Jerry being banned for they graphic scenes of violence seem ridiculous looking at today's cartoons. The reason behind this shift is the amount the cartoon makers can get away with just because they are cartoons. Unfortunately the law is slow to catch up with censorship and monitoring when it comes to cartoons and the makers of these programmes are using all the rope they can. When you view children's cartoons they are full of monsters and evil spirits, scenes of supernatural horrors and aliens living among us. What we originally thought of as a cartoon is fast becoming merged with real life programmes. Computer generated graphics can bring a cartoon to the point of crossing the border. Children take in every thing they see, they can not differentiate between real and make believe anymore as the boundaries are being broken down all the time. RELIGION Religion is slowly disappearing off the television. Efforts are being made to revive the down turn but the answer is to promote all the peripheral religions, the CULTS more than mainstream religion. The reason is that they are more news worthy and make better TV. The true church is too old fashioned and dull for TV and so if any is shown it will always be a Catholic church or High Church of England which is basically another version of Catholicism. These with their pomp and ceremony are better viewing and fulfil the role, which people think a church should be. This watering down is another ploy by Satan to stop the spread of true Christianity and the TV companies are happy to help. The BBC seems to be on a crusade at the moment to promote Evolution in all of its productions. Religion is not as popular or financially viable as Evolution. BAD LANGUAGE Swearing is becoming an every day occurrence on the television, and we are told it is just mirroring real life. However real life invariably comes from watching others. Children learn from repetition and their elders, and more today from TV. So rather than mirroring real life it is making its form of life real. Children have always used bad language but never have we seen it used by so many and even by children first going to school. They can only get it from their parents or from TV, at that age. Children's T.V is also using bad language again under the excuse of mirroring real life. The real reason is that children like to watch it because it is something they are told not to do, when in school and hopefully at home. Programme makers should be more educationally minded and realise the power they have instead of thinking about the money they will get. HOW TO VIEW THE TELEVISION
It would be wrong to say that all TV is bad and that you should switch it off. But it is fast becoming hard to find programmes that are wholesome and good fun. The days of escapism are over real life is the buzz word. You are considered square or old fashioned if you like the old cartoons or famous five style children's programmes. Guns and monsters are what the youngsters want. But that should not be the driving force behind making a programme. |
